Indeed, a symbol of a long reign! My symbolic is of a different nature.
I think it's symbolic too that that gate is usually closed... Palaces aren't for the likes of us! ;bMy different take on this week's theme is over here:-http://webs-of-significance.blogspot.com/2012/03/symbolic-and-power-this-weeks-photo.html
The big gate might be closed, but the garden is open for everyone!

And how awesome-Buckingham Palace's gate. I would so take a photo like that. : )Mine's up.
Very cool! I have only seen Buckingham Palace from a distance. That gate is very elaborate and beautiful. Were you able to go inside on a tour? (No clue if that is possible, imagine it would be fascinating though!)My post is here
Anne ~ not this trip... but they do open the Palace for tours on rare occasions. You don't appreciate how huge it is!
I thought my comment made it but I see it didn't but that gate sure wouldn't keep any livestock in or out.Mine is up and the coffee is on.http://peppylady.blogspot.com/2012/03/weekend-photo-hunt-power-symbolic.html
