The photohunt for today is 'Humble'
I found this photo of the statue that stands at the boat dock in Positano.
Of all the beautiful people and famous visitors on the shores of the Amalfi Coast . . .
This is a monument to the 'humble' fish wife.
I asked mi amici at Positano Daily Photo what her story is . . . Nicki says 'La Pescatrice' (the fisherwoman) made by Amerigo Tot in 1956 and donated to the town of Positano by Tobia Salino
. . . I'm thinking this Italian woman must be a fabulous cook!
Leave your Humble comment and a link. We'll be round to visit.
Happy Hunting y'all ~
Sandi

ReplyDeleteMy humble beginnings. If they made a statue of my grandma, she would be a sister of your fisherwoman. My Grand dad had a fish pond.
I like the sculpture and a great idea for humble.

Singapore just celebrated its 48th National Day. From its humble beginnings as a fishing village, the Singapore of today has flourished into a modern and dynamic metropolis.
