~ Creativity ~

The PhotoHunt for this week is 'Creativity'
I thought of the perfect example of creativity in this photo at the Duomo in Lucca . . .

In the 14th century, when they were building the Duomo, the townspeople of Lucca had a contest for the most creative column. All of the artists created their own unique design out of colored marble, with the hopes of winning the honor of decorating the facade.
Instead . . . the townsfolks took all of the entries and used them on the Cathedral.
The creative artists felt cheated by the change in plans . . .
and the creative townspeople got an assortment of columns for free.

That is 'Creativity' ~

    Creativity is my fave theme! Daring to take risks and express yourself is what those artists did on those columns. I've never seen anything like it! Photo/blogging daily at two blogs and writing for four magazines+++keeps my creative juices flowing.
