~ Flamboyant ~

The PhotoHunt for today is 'Flamboyant'
This is hard, since I don't live a Flamboyant lifestyle . . .
Then, I remembered the fresco's in the Benedictine Monestary at Monte Oliveto.
These were painted by the artist known as 'il Sodoma'  at the monestary around 1498. The series of frescos illustrate the life of St Benedict.
~ some in a very flamboyant way . . .

You can easily see St Benedict . . . surrounded by some flamboyant characters.
Even the horses look flamboyant ~  (click on the photo for a larger view)

I will post more photos on my WhistleStop Blog
Happy Hunting y'all ~

    1. I often think 'who came up with this theme?'
Sometimes I can blame it on someone else . . . but I'm afraid this was my idea.

It'll be fun to see what y'all come up with.

  16. What could be more flamboyant than the orange, red, and blue striped dress uniforms of the Swiss Guard soldiers who stand sentry at the gates of Vatican City?
